One day, two of the most beautiful towns in Spain. Morella, inland, surrounded by a wall with towers and gates that makes you feel inside a fortress, and Peñíscola, on the Costa del Azahar, with its 14th-century castle on a rock 64 metres above the sea.

What you will see

• Morella: the town walls, the castle with panoramic views and the Gothic Basilica of Santa María la Mayor. Famous for its cured meats and sopa morellana.
• Papa Luna Castle (Peñíscola): the town’s landmark, with views over the town and the sea. Optional entry (about €4).
• Peñíscola old town: white streets, Santa María church and some Game of Thrones filming locations.

Approximate itinerary

1. Departure from Valencia at Mestalla in the morning.
2. Morella: visit of the town and castle.
3. Peñíscola: free time to explore and have a drink.
4. Return from Peñíscola at around 18:00.
