Cuenca & the Saffron Festival: tradition, flavour and history

A different kind of trip into the heart of Castile. We start in Motilla del Palancar during its Saffron Festival (Jornadas del Azafrán), with stalls, tastings, music and cooking around Spain’s «red gold». Then we continue to Cuenca, the UNESCO World Heritage city hanging over the Júcar and Huécar gorges, to explore it with an official guide.

Approximate itinerary

1. Departure from Valencia at Mestalla at 8:00.
2. Motilla del Palancar: saffron festival.
3. Cuenca: guided tour and free time.
4. Return to Valencia at around 18:30.

Includes coach, coordinator, insurance and guided tour of Cuenca. Food and drinks not included (very cheap at the festival).
