If you’re looking for the most turquoise, transparent water in the whole Valencia region, head to Cala Moraig. Hidden among cliffs in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell (Alicante), this pebble cove is one of those places that seem impossible: emerald water, a natural sea cave and rock walls over 100 metres high dropping straight into the Mediterranean. It’s considered one of the most beautiful coves in Spain.
With ValenciaTribe you reach this paradise by private coach, with a coordinator and people just as keen to enjoy the day as you. No parking hassle and no hours behind the wheel.

Cala Moraig’s great treasure is the Cova dels Arcs, a spectacular sea cave with natural rock arches carved by the sea over thousands of years. It’s one of the best snorkeling and diving spots on the Costa Blanca: visibility is exceptional and beneath the surface lies a system of galleries and an underground freshwater river that flows out into the cove.
Swimming to the cave, passing through its arches and exploring the seabed is an experience you won’t forget. Bring a mask and snorkel — here, snorkeling is a must.

If you want to stretch your legs, the Ruta dels Penya-segats starts at Cala Moraig: a coastal path along the cliffs to neighbouring Cala Llebeig. The views of the Mediterranean from the top of the rock walls are simply stunning — some of the best on the Alicante coast. It’s an easy walk that multiplies the photos of the day.
The cove sits at the mouth of the dry Riu Blanc riverbed, an impressive ravine that adds a wild, natural touch to the whole setting.

It’s a pebble cove. We recommend water shoes to get in and out comfortably, and a mat to lie on.
To swim to the cave you should be a reasonably confident swimmer. If not, you can still enjoy swimming and snorkeling near the shore, where the water is just as spectacular.
Swimsuit, mask and snorkel, water shoes, sunscreen, towel, water, cap and cash for lunch.
From Mestalla stadium (Avenida de Aragón, Valencia). The exact time is in your booking confirmation.
Yes. Most people come solo, and it’s the easiest way to meet new people in Valencia.
If there is a weather warning or unsafe conditions, we let you know in advance and offer a new date or a refund.
More turquoise water: Moraira, Tabarca island or Calpe and the Peñón de Ifach.
