Join the waiting listEvery year, for a few weeks in June and July, the Rincón de Ademuz is transformed. The fields around the small villages of this area — tucked between Valencia, Aragon and Castile — are covered in flowering lavender, painting the landscape an intense purple that looks straight out of Provence. But it’s right here, less than two hours from Valencia.
The Ademuz lavender fields trip with ValenciaTribe is one of our most special and most requested outings. Not just for the visual spectacle — one of the most impressive in the Valencia region — but for the chance to discover a corner of Spain very few people know: charming villages, mountain scenery and a silence that says it all.
The Rincón de Ademuz is one of Spain’s most curious territories: a Valencian enclave completely surrounded by Aragon and Castilla-La Mancha. Cut off geographically from the rest of the Valencia region, it has preserved its identity, architecture and way of life for centuries.
The lavender fields are mainly around the villages of Vallanca, Ademuz and Castielfabib. The scent in the air as you walk between the rows of flowering lavender is simply unique — an experience that goes far beyond the photo.

The flowering season usually runs from mid-June to mid-July, although it varies each year with the weather. Check our calendar to confirm the best dates to visit.
Castielfabib is one of the most spectacular villages in the Valencia region. Its 13th-century fortress church, perched on a rock, looks about to topple over the edge. The medieval village around it, with barely a hundred inhabitants, is a trip back in time.
Vallanca is where you’ll find the most photogenic lavender fields. The rows of plants, the scent in the air and the views of the Aragonese mountains behind create a unique atmosphere.
The Rincón de Ademuz is a land of artisan products: lavender honey, extra virgin olive oil, mountain cured meats and local cheeses. In the small village shops and bars you’ll find products you won’t see in any supermarket.
Times are approximate. Half-day or full-day depending on the date.
The lavender blooms for only a few weeks a year (usually mid-June to mid-July). Spots are very limited and sell out fast. Book early so you don’t miss out.
Check our up-to-date calendar before booking. We let you know once we’ve confirmed the flowering is at its best.
In most fields, no — they’re private or protected crops. You can buy lavender in the local shops.
Yes, the walk through the fields is flat and accessible. The only part that takes some effort is Castielfabib, which has a few slopes.
The Rincón de Ademuz is inland, about two hours from Valencia on mountain roads, and public transport is very limited. On this trip you board the coach at Mestalla stadium and go straight to the fields in bloom, no driving needed.
Yes. If you’d like to get away for longer, we also run multi-day trips to the Pyrenees and Andalusia.
From Mestalla stadium (Avenida de Aragón, Valencia). The exact time is in your booking confirmation.
Yes. Most people come solo, and it’s the easiest way to meet new people in Valencia.
